Man U White U9 Boys (wearing blue above): Down to 7 players coach Steve pleaded with tournament organizers to allow them to call upon 3 boys who were playing with the U8 team. They were succesfull in there endeavour as Sam, Alessandro & Philip (the SAP line) were allowed to do double duty. The boys cruised through the 1st 3 games with 5+ goals over Barrie, Newmarket & RH. On Sunday before the 4th game the skies opened up with a thunder storm that delayed the game by 45 mins, once started after 1 shift the SAP line had to immediately leave the game and run to their own semi final. With the clouds gone and the sun now beating down Man U with no subs ended up losing a close match 2-0 to a strong Aurora Stingers team forcing a 3 way tie for 1st. Given their strong performance Saturday Man U White advanced in 1st place with a better goal difference Unfortunately, the U8 & U9 finals were both at 3:30pm so the SAP line were not available to help out White who again had to play with no subs in the heat. White stepped it up playing with guts and held Scarborough to 2-2 at half. In the 2nd, the Blizzard with a full bench of 12 took the crown with a 4-2 win. Congrats to the Fab 7, Tristan, Ben, Matt, Christian, Ryan, Spencer & Connor Against all odds the boys from North london did the business and made us proud!! LIVERPOOL ARE CHAMPIONS ...
